New Archives Discovered: Shoot the Duck, Animal Cross Road, & Volcanic Brick Breaker

Announcing three new additions to the ArcadeFortress game catalog: Shoot the Duck, Animal Cross Road, and Volcanic Brick Breaker, complete with retro 8-bit canvases and mobile touch controllers.

Expanding the Retro Catalog

We have unlocked three more classic game cabinets in our digital fortress catalog: Shoot the Duck, a reflex-testing target shooter, Animal Cross Road, a woodland crossing challenge, and Volcanic Brick Breaker, a classic brick-shattering breakout puzzle. All three modules are built using high-performance HTML5 canvas graphics and respect our natural, organic 8-bit aesthetic.

Shoot the Duck Gameplay The new cabinets feature customized pixel-art details, including flying duck silhouettes, green frog sprites, and volcanic stone grids.

Designing the Game Engines

Shoot the Duck relies on sub-second pointer event coordinates to validate hits on flying duck silhouettes. Animal Cross Road uses a 40x40 pixel coordinate snapping grid where players hop across moving timber logs. Volcanic Brick Breaker implements dynamic ball-deflection physics on a dinosaur bone paddle, spawning active lava spark particles when stone bricks are shattered.

Optimized Touch Controls & Backend Integrations

We integrated our mobile virtual D-pad layout for Animal Cross Road and touch-drag listeners for Volcanic Brick Breaker. Additionally, all three games are fully hooked into the centralized auth system, allowing logged-in users to save high scores and rank on our global leaderboards.
